Back house weight -weight used to slowly drift stone threw the house to the back
hog line - the lines front of the rings drawing from side to side 
T line - the line drawn from side to side in the middle of the house 
12 foot -the large out side ring 12 feet around
8foot -the next ring to the 12 foot 8 feet round 
4 foot -next to the 8 foot 4 feet around 
draw shot - draw to the house where is determonded by the skip
take out - a stone moving fast enough to remove opositions stone .
hit and roll -a stone throughing fast enough to an oposition stone and roll to a predetermined spot or behind guard etc 
BOWLING IS NOT A CURLING TERM REPEAT BOWLING IS NOT A CURLING TERM ! ! ! 
So what is the curling term for bowling? :)
neither is runner or running 
the term for bowling is takeout... get it!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe in 1980 those were curling terms. Even then "top 12 weight" or "back 12" were the terms. Why would anyone just say "4 foot", "8 foot", or "12 foot"? You could be off by 10 feet and still have your shot be in the 12 foot ring and be an awful shot.
