black out!
okay, first I couldn't access the rooms because it inexplicably said I needed to update java. Then, I came home and it started to work again! However, now it has developed a nasty habit of blacking out right in the middle of a match, causing me to forfeit the game. That is, the board just goes black, but the advertisements keep right on flashing! It's making it tough to accumulate many points! What could cause this? thank you
okay, several people have suggested various browsers. I'm sure that could have worked, but I went ahead and paid the stupid $8 per year to subscribe. Here's the verdict: no more black out problems in the middle of matches. All those stupid flashing adds were overwhelming my Yahoo brouser. No more of that, and I am winning matches that I was forfieting as a non-subscriber. $8 solved my problem. I'm sure Flyordie will be glad to hear my solution! Rockinon
Like has been said try FireFox, or one of the several browsers out there. I don't believe Opera works on this site period but I could be wrong. If your using the Yahoo browser (whichever it may be) switch to IE.
hey man, have you tried using FireFox? i only get blackouts when using IE7 so if i play on web i use FireFox and i dont black out, if you dont use it, you should give it a try. ;)

yes, I got the latest version of Java. and no, i'm not using internet explorer. It's Yahoo, I'm pretty sure.
Did you get the latest version of Java?
even if internet explorer isn't the "default browser", that might be the one you were using (and the one you sometimes or always use).

I looked around trying to find out exactly what the browser is and it said internet explorer IS NOT the default web browser. I guess it is Yahoo? I have no idea. Thanks
It happens to me too ...
btw, I also think I was winning ;)
what browser do you use?

if you use internet explorer 7.0 this problem shouldn't happen and if it does all you need to so is click on the "zoom" box on the bottom of the browser.
This also happens alot to me sumtimes, i find that most of the time, if this happens, if i log in as a guest and watch my own game, then bring up the other screen im playing on, most of the time it comes back, if not try subscribing, seems to sort anything lol :)

no, it still happens from time to time. No clue why. I just forfieted a match 3 moves into the game! Makes for some fun chess matches!
I get the same problem frequently, especially when I am winning. Did u get a solution to this problem?
