Losing my points
To day is July 10 2007. I just played about 7 games. My rating was 819. I got up from my computer. Came back in about 30 mins and my rating was 813. I lost 6 points in 30 mins. I know if a person misses a day he will lose 6 points, but 6 points in 30 mins.? Come on. This has happened more than once. Fly or Die owes me about a 100 points. Can you do something about this? I am a subscriber. Curtis Smith
What i dont understand here is this. This is a game site to have fun at. Why do people always care about there points. For you to have as many points as you say you have, is in fact a very good accomplishment. So why worry about a few points. Just have fun and of course follow the rules:)
I'm not exactly sure how the point system works when you lose a certain amount each day.

Maybe they have a fixed time (let's say 12:00 am server time) and you could play at 11:30pm, gain points but lose some 30 minutes later because it is then 12:00am??

If not the only explanation I could give is if you lost a game but the server lagged when taking your points away which has happened to me before, I highly doubt you just lost points for no reason :)

I do not see any problem here. FlyOrDie definitely does NOT owe you a single point.

OP
Hey OP,

I am just asking... why does FlyOrDie subtract points dailey... Like if i had 601 the next day its down to 598... why???

And it happens at a certain time, and because of this i have gotten disconnected while playing chess at that time!

Thanks,

Although you asked OP to answer he may be currently engaged so please accept the answer off me :p

The reason you lose points each day is that it stops people 'sitting' on their high ratings. For example, a person with 768 points and crown in 9 ball will have to play games to maintain their rating otherwise eventually they will lose points each day and their crown status.

:)
Thanks Chris!!!

BTW,
You sound like the admin :D

that might have something to do with his 1700 posts... that just goes to show that he reads (and posts to) the forum a lot. and when you read all the other problems people have, you get to know a lot yourself as well. asking someone like chris for advice on something is almost like searching the forum to see if someone else has had a similar problem in the past ;)
