Does anyone else remember playing Mafia games in the forums here?  I think it was either directly in the Larkinor forum, or more likely in a separate area in the FoD forums.  I can't seem to find it anymore.  Those areas had some great ideas (themes, collection of roles with descriptions, etc), and I'm looking to host some online games with friends these days, but don't like the Mafia-type websites I'm finding.

Well, my birthday happened just 2 weeks before lockdown and cancellations started here.  But since I only see my birthday once every 4 years, heregoesnothing would love a little extra pack space!

Even if anyone active had a diamond shovel (which I'm not sure there is anyone), they cannot be sold or traded.

If you want to build just for the points, you are pretty much free to build wherever you want... unless some people do create a consensus.

I would caution that in building there, you will have to be very diligent.  I believe it only takes the army invading the square once, and all building progress is lost!

In the last 3 or 4 months, I have seen monsters 1 square away from that square a few times, and I'm not even online that much.  So I wouldn't feel very safe building there myself, if I wanted a completed building.

I believe the unlimited block is to ensure there will always be ingredients available to make building stones to rebuild the buildings on TA.  Otherwise, when we were only 1-2 dozen squares into the conquest (or somewhere around there), it was worked out that once monsters started damaging already-built buildings, there would no longer be enough nubs, if all squares had the 120,000 standard monsters.  All of a sudden, we started finding squares with more monsters, and then the unlimited square eventually.

There seems to still be some progress being made on target blocks on TA.  But it's slow.

... so I will be splatting up North most of the time these days, to try and make progress to protecting the buildings in the North city.

But if we even let the monsters invade for 6 hours overnight without someone checking on them, they can create the bridges, and advance from wherever.

Let's say our goal is to be able to rebuild the North teleport, so we can jump back and forth from North to South easier.  Putting a year's worth of effort into clearing 2 blocks (and really, I would say probably at least 1.5 years), and not being able to see any gains until that time is up... good luck with morale.  Right now, monsters need to invade 4 squares (in the right direction) to hit the teleport square.  Even if we clear around the Recruitment Centre, they will bridge the gap instantly when they invade, and then would still only need 4 squares in t…

The only problem I see with that logic is the study when we first tried to isolate the Western Block.

Monsters invade the pathway, thus connecting the Western Block to the rest.  And then monsters can invade from the Western Block to the North or South, since it's all connected again.

So even if we clear 500k on this block, then likely 1 million North of the "Mystery Block", and take 2-3 years doing it all... these cleared squares will get invaded, reconnecting everything, and then invasions can continue happening everywhere just like they are now, most likely.

As much as I'd like to go for Option 1 (which could theoretically be done in 1 to 1.5 years)... I understand that "quick wins" are better for morale.

I see no point in Option 2... it's not like we'll be able to go fishing with our nets or anything.  And for double the monsters as Option 3 (with still only requiring 2 squares), well... Option 3 looks more appealing to me.

Level 26, with +4 magic (i.e. level 30 magic).  It could probably by done with level 29 magic, but would require a good chunk of HP's.  I doubt level 28 magic would work.

Now, if a mage could get up to +5 magic on level 24, and has enough HP's, they could probably splat on 24.  Any earlier (e.g. level 23) could only be done by "abusing" the ability to raise magic level using MP's…
