Why should subscribing be free? You get the basic game 
free and have the option of upgrading(subscribing) and getting a few extra features such as the do not disturb button and more system tourneys. Tell me this :-If FlyOrDie make subscribing free where will they make their money? This is a buisness not a giveaway at the end of the day.
