It's mostly likely because of either a bug in the code or a communications error between CPUs.

There is nothing saying that you can't break the rules, but FoD reserve the right to restrict or remove access if you do. I think that human nature is one reason why we do, and also I doubt many of us actually know each and every rule.

It's a fact of life. There is always the question "who polices the police?", but as long as there is no real problem who really cares? Keep your beak clean and you'll not end up being on the wrong end of favouritism.

Human nature - some people always want to be the best, whilst others may just want to look good in the eyes of others. Why have a points system in the first place if it's not to stimulate competition?

That's a good question, but technically you can open a browser window. I haven't tried logging in twice, but sometimes like a practice window open.

I can't remember names, but inevitably they are people who do NOT care about ratings. I have to give Max credit, because he would give people help and advice if they didn't leave during one of his century break attempts - but again, he didn't care about the ratings.

Firstly you'd have to rule out the possibility of cheating. Then you'd have to ask the question of whether "class" and the concept of mastering a computer game are compatible. Personally I believe that class would be defined by the ability to control aiming, the cue ball and power on a consistent basis combined with imagination.

Snipe tends to express himself correctly, so even if you don't agree with what he has to say you can't fault him for what he has said. Veriac has a special ability - he only talks when (a) it's worth doing so and (b) when he has something intelligent to say. However, the only ones? There are many people in here who have good view points (including yourself), and I would say that Jamez deserves a mention - not always right, but he will go out of his way to help people and is almost ubiquitously nice about things. As for Beppe - it's just an illusion...
