Just A Poem
Near to the door he paused to stand,
As he took his class ring off her hand
All who were watching did not speak
As a silent tear ran down his cheek
and through his mind the memories ran
Of the moment the walk and ran in the sand (hand in hand)
but her eyes were so terribly cold
For he would never again have her to hold.
They watched in silence as he bent near
and whispered the words
"I Love You"
 in her ear.
He touched her face and started to cry
as he put on his ring and wanted to die
and just then the wind began to blow
As he lowered her casket into the snow.

This is what happends to man alive,
When friends let friends drink and drive!

very well said take a **bow** peachy
very nice PeachySweet, did you compose this poem ? reminds one of their mortality,

and the ripple effect caused by those who decide to drink and drive,
on other peoples lives.
Thanks for sharing.

no I didn't write it..i got it emailed to me. and thought i would share it with everyone.
i myself lost someone to a drunk driver. He was hit and died in the hospital. He was 13 and so was I. A year later I can still hear him cry to help him. I couldn't thoug, the guy hit me too and broke my leg. He hit us from behind. We thought it was a race and turn around too late. I now assist with the MADD comittee. It wasn't even that late.
God if we weren't so busy in listening in our walkmans...
geez
... that night still haunts me

touching poem peachy....sympathy to all victims and their families.... people lost in such a sad and needless way
You've been such a good friend
I'll never let you go
For when I like to take it as a saviour,
Go, friend, go...
No one understands the truth,
between the friendship of me and you

Cause, together forever
no matter how long
For now until the end of time, of course
We'll be together and you can be sure!
Like forever that'll end, that's how you understand
together and forever - more...
