Please add competitions suitable for China's time zone (East Eighth District). There are a large number of online curling game enthusiasts from China who want to fight for the glory of the country. The current competition time is from early morning to late night. Thank you very much.

Yes indeed i agree, a International tournament should be held in a international time zone !!
At the moment tournament is in the midle off the night in China, fair would be if you had different times for tournament equal to time zones in the world
That would not be very diffecult to archive, its all about flyordie and fair play !!

Dear Curling Tournament Organizing Committee,

Weโ€™re writing on behalf of Chinese curling athletes to express our concern about the competition schedule. Two matches are scheduled at 00:00 and 05:00 Beijing Time, which clearly caters to European and American time zones. These odd hours force Chinese athletes to compete in the middle of the night/early morning, severely disrupting our rest and affecting our competitive performance.

We humbly hope you can understand our difficulty and adjust the start times of these two matches, allowing Chinese athletes to compete during normal resting hours. Your consideration and accommodation will be highly appreciated.

Looking forward to your reply.

Yes for manny Chinees players its not posible to participate in this great Tournament because they need to go to work early in the morning
We hope you understand that a International Tournament needs International Time zone, so every one has equal chance to participate
I hope you understand and lets see if Flyordie is fair play for all

Questions:

1. Will these tournaments also provide entrants with curling Grand Prix points or is that on hold until this is over?

2. Is it simply going to be based on a player's nationality or a chosen nationality? If the latter, should entrants ensure they have a nation/flag selected in their profile or will they choose which nation to represent once the tournament begins?

3. Is there going to be any sort of balancing of entrants per nation? For example, if 20 Canadians enter and 2 from Sweden, the outcome is unlikely to be in question at all.

Thank you.
2. It will be based on your country that is set in your profile page. Do not forget to make it public as well.

Everyone can participate.

You need to set your country in your profile page. (You can play without it, but your result will not count to any country.)

There will be two events per day. See the tournament page for full schedule.

Hi I have updated my profile information and it is not updating the Country so it's not registering points for us, is there something else I need to do?

Be sure to make it public by ticking the โ€œvisible to othersโ€ box.
Hi Yoshimura,
To select your country, open your profile and choose โ€œEdit profile.โ€
On mobile devices, tap the pen icon to access the same settings.

Choose your country from the countries dropdown menu,
tick the box โ€œVisible to others,โ€ and finish by clicking or tapping โ€œSave.โ€

Congratulation to Team China for an incredible turnout in the first tournament. Come on Canadian players need you out on the pebbled sheets!!

I took a time out, and then I am disqualified it looks ? My rating turned yellow, and I get no more games.
Is that because you have to stop the time out before 3 mins ?
How should I know, where does it say how those time out works ?

Thx in advance
Peter

It explains it very clearly in the tournament rules -
https://www.flyordie.com/games/help/tournamentModeration.html

โ€œ Players who are in an inactive status (out of the room, using the DND sign, etc.) for too much time, will see their tournament concluded before the tournament actually ends. This means that their rating will be final, and they will not play any further games in the given tournament. A timeout can be taken three times during a single tourney, for a total of 3 minutes. Inactive players will be repeatedly notified about the remaining time while on a timeout (unless out of the room).โ€

I was not "out of the room. I pressed "do not disturb" and then I waited for the time out to finish :-/
I thought that then I would automatically be included again. I did not know that I had to stop the time out myself.
So i do Not think it is explained very clearly :-/
