How do you imagine it? Practically, for months now, nobody has been coming to play Tanx or darts. 

Even when a tournament takes place, there are at most 3 players. The decision to shut down both games is justified.

Then why do they keep fodball, four in a row, blackball pool, straight pool, bank pool, snooker lite, sinuca, pente,  larkinor, xudoku?

That’s a fair question, the decision to retire certain games like Darts and Tanx wasn’t based solely on player nostalgia, but also on long-term technical viability, maintenance requirements, and active user metrics.

Some older titles such as Four in a Row or Pool variants still maintain steady daily activity and use a compatible game engine that aligns with FlyOrDie’s current platform.  Unfortunately, Tanx and Darts relied on older frameworks that became increasingly difficult to support with modern browsers and network protocols (especially after the HTTPS transition).

That said, the team has received several requests for their return, so the feedback is being collected and reviewed.  If future updates make reimplementation technically feasible, these classic titles could certainly be reconsidered.

Thank you for your reply, the problem was that people couldn't access them so I really hope they can be reimplemented in the future to bring a new lot of players to the classic flyordie darts 501,301 and cricket. 
And you must realise Darts is now getting hugely popular all around the world, so I feel a lot of the younger generation would embrace it. Flyordie needs new blood to survive or the whole site will eventually fade away.

You’re saying that FlyOrDie will eventually disappear from the scene, but that’s going too far. FlyOrDie has greatly benefited from billiards and board games for more than 20 years, those have always been its strongest areas. Next comes darts, although unfortunately the old framework based on Internet Explorer has limited it. Tanx never had more than around 100 online players, unlike billiards or board games.

You’re absolutely right that Darts built up a loyal following worldwide.  The main issue with reviving it lies in its old Java framework, which relied entirely on Internet Explorer.  Once Java support was discontinued across all major browsers, those titles became incompatible with current web standards.

Any modern version would require a complete rebuild using newer technologies like HTML5, which is a significant development investment.  The team hasn’t ruled it out entirely, interest like yours helps show there’s still demand for those classics, and that feedback is valuable.

I too came back today due to nostalgia. Couldnt even remember how to login to my old accounts so I made a new one to just see what was up. Sad to see the Tanx is gone. Last i logged in was 11 years ago though. 19 years on the oldest. Hopefully one day everyone will meet up again.

It’s always great to see returning players, nostalgia truly keeps FlyOrDie’s legacy alive.  You’re right, Tanx was a classic that many remember fondly.  Unfortunately, it was originally built using Java applets, which only functioned through Internet Explorer.  As all major browsers dropped Java support for security reasons, the game became technically unplayable without a full redevelopment.

The team’s current focus is on maintaining and improving the newer HTML5 and WebGL titles to ensure long-term compatibility and stability.  That said, the enthusiasm from long-time players like you never goes unnoticed, and it’s something the developers do keep in mind for future projects.
