Opponent Ran Out of Time, Draw?
It’s the last game I played and I’m upset so I’m going to be off for a while.
Was playing a 20min game with Manu16. I was beating him easily and he was losing time so I played with him letting him kill queen and such. I was down to a knight and a pawn and he had a queen, 3 pawns and 8 seconds left. He suicided his pieces to try to force a draw By leaving us both with only knights but I let him walk 1 pawn to the end and get a queen instead as he did not have time to finish me.
The game ended with me having knight and him only a queen as he timed out but game declared a draw. Why?

If you run out of time you lose and that should be it.
The game is a draw if you cannot deliver checkmate even though you win on time. In this case, you only had a Knight, so you cannot win the game.
hi
so you lost the 1st game and the opponent by losing in time you won so why there was draw

The draw didn’t happen because of 100 moves.

A message popped up saying “your opponent has ran out of time, the game has ended in a draw.”
hi
there is an automatic draw system after 100 moves for the 2 players
