Why not make your Country viewable to others? Clearly it is not essential, but it is often helpful to know what language your opponent might speak... "Settings" is just below "Start Game" - select your country, tick "Visible to others" then submit.

I dont play curling but overall i think its a good idea i do use the player info button to check for runners and then if i do see they come from a country where English is spoke its easier to approach them for say a best of 3 or whatever yano. Good Shout Muddy ;) :p :)
