Hey, I'm Kobe...aka F.B.I_U.S.A, aka Hockey Kid. I made a tournament for Tanx, 2010. It is a very important tournament. The best players of Tanx will play in it. There are not enough players now for a 32 player tournament like COPA Tanx 04-05 so we will make 16 players tourny. Today is February 6, USA time. All players who will play in tourny are announced now, and the groups have been made from a draw in Tanx. The groups are fair, decided by Pots. 4 groups of course. The 2 best players of each group will advance. Tournament will look like this...in the group stage you gotta play everyone else in your group once to 10. If the person you are supposed to be playing doesn't show up, you will talk to A judge about it...and it'll be addressed by my "disciplinary committee" There will be special Judges to watch the matches. My Judges are XTW_OWNAGE (Elf0), Alex (Little Boy), TCA_Trainor and Grave_Robber. You must play all matches with a judge present there. If there is tie in group-stage somehow, it will be based on head-to-head records, and after that in a last 1 vs 1 to see who goes on. This is the way it works for the whole knock out round. RULES: No Energy in Duels. To 10 in group stage, to 15 in knockout round. Must be a Judge to watch each match. The judges are very fair. A judge can't judge his own match, there must be another one. We will also during the group stage have spare players that will play if one of the others cannot for any reason. So, even if you are not top player, maybe you have a chance to play! If you quit the tournament during knockout round, you forfeit your match 15/X. You cannot judge your own match. There must be another judge present. During the group stage, you may duel the opponent whenever all the requirements of a judge present is met. However, during knockout it must be when a lot of players are on to watch since part of the reason for this tournament is for spectators to enjoy. Yeah, as expected some players only wanted attention, or their names to be with the listed players to be "cool" or they were scared because of who they drew in their group...we are making new pots/draw. This is the only time this will happen, any more interruptions and we will simply rotate players EASY. NEW POTS+GROUPS. HOW WE MADE THE DRAW: In case anyone is wondering how we made the draw, we had XTW_Ownage (Elf0) a trustworthy guy write the names of players and their pots on paper. And he showed us on webcam how he drew the groups so it was very fair. Good luck everyone! Kobe, a few questions about judging: 1. What should umpire do, if one of players said " wait, brb" , or "(T)", and how should players act in this situation? 2. If leading player leaves for some reason (e.g. disconnect) or he has an extra event outside tanx - how should umpires act? 3. What if player takes energy for some reason (lag or not) - what is the penalty then? 4. What is the official result if players end up 15/15 or 10/10 ? 5. If players couldn't play their matches until Feb 20, because of they couldn't meet each other in tanx, but both are active - who gets a point? About final - maybe we should make it till 15 or even 20 deaths? Post what you think, thanks :D
Hey man... 1. If players wanna start their match they gotta do it when they know they are free and can play for a while without interruptions but if that happened, then the other player has to wait for them to come back. They can collect ammo and move around but its sportsmanship to not do that and just wait. When other player comes back they gotta "back" and give you the time to react. 2. Reason we give 2 weeks for people to play their group match because they should do it at a time when they are not gonna have to "go to friends house", "go eat", etc. So, they simply have to do it at a time when they will be free. But, if they are "disconnected", then the score will be the same for them + 1 death. So lets say Player 1 is winning 7/4, if he is "disconnected", the other player waits in the op until he comes back. If he doesn't come back within a while, the one who waited wins. If he does come back, the score will be 7/5. 3. If anyone take energy, they have to stop shooting at opponent and either use grenades to kill their tank or let opponent kill them. If they shoot at you and you haven't died, you can take 1 energy yourself while other player waits, after that yourself but everyone will be watching and using common sense to make sure you don't cheat. 4. If player's match ends 10/10, or 15/15, there will be sudden death, so to 16. If 16/16, to 17 and so on... 5. If both players are "active" but can't find each other in Tanx then we will use common sense. And for final question...yeah man for the final match it will be to 15, same with the 3rd place match and all the knockout rounds.
