Requiem Angeleye
This forum topic has been posted with the kind permission of the family of Kerry. Many thanks to Samuel for your understanding on this.

It is with a heavy heart, and deepest regret, that I inform all Tanx players of the recent passing of our good friend Kerry, aka
Angeleye
- a good and sound Tanx player.

Kerry passed away peacefully, and with the dignity she deserved, at the City Hospital, Belfast at approx. 1615 GMT on Sat 21st July 2007. Thanks are due to all the staff who provided the best care they could provide throughout her final days.

Angeleye
was a keen online games player and enjoyed many hours of play and chat with a range of players. She was known as witty, sarcastic, sharp and abrasive but always fair. She affected us all and it that we must remember the most.

Kerry enjoyed the camaraderie and sportsmanship shown by her fellow Tanx players, and I know she would want this fellowship to continue with others.

As a keen rock music fan, ironically, she passed away listening to her favorite tune by Guns n Roses
"Knockin' on Heaven's Door".
Very appropriate for a woman of her nature. I know she's already there.

Condolences are due to the family and close friends of Kerry (of which I am fortunate to class myself as one), but also to the many Tanx players she had an influence on. I know many of you will miss her in the virtual world as much as those that knew her in real life.

She met and made many friends both on and off the combat field, and always tried to protect the weak and punish the wicked...that was her style. I know personally she spoke fondly of key players who she thought of as not only players...but as someone she could rely on to support her and also have a laugh with. She never backed down unless cornered.

If she had the chance to design her own tank it would have been a glorious white one in the spirit of neutrality that she stood for always. She believed in equality for all...except privates who she despised with a passion never seen before!

May I ask that any replies to this topic are treated with utmost respect but add that Kerry would not have wanted a dark cloud to remain behind her. To that effect, may all memories be strong, happy ones even though we will never see the likes of her gracing the fields of Tanx again.

Her uncle, Samuel, has asked that I add the following in his exact words:
"I thank all the Tanx players for giving Kerry many happy hours of entertainment. May her spirit live on in sport and fair play!"

My own tribute is a simple line:

"Blow 'em away at the Pearly Gates babe...St. Peter's only a noob!"

I know she would laugh at that.

Yours in the Game.
Tully

Sleep well my Angel. x
My deepest sympathies to the family and friends
of Angeleye.
I did not know her, but I wish I had met her
during her time at Tanx.

Well it sad to see Angeleye pass away because I usually talk to her every weekdays mornings before I go to college. Angeleye I am going to miss you. Farewell.
I know you are in that great place now. I also know that you are a freind, tanx player and great socialist. We as tanx players are at a lost, and for those players that did not know Angeleye are at a greater lost. Drive yah tank into the dessert sunset,I will catch up later, Love HIT MAN JAZZ
I am so sorry to read and hear this news. I didn't really know angeleye (Kerry), as i am new to tanx (we only chatted once). Please pass my regards to her family. It is just so sad.

I wished we chatted more on tanx as she seems a really nice person. Fair and true not only to the tanx game but to life itself.

So sorry Kerry's family. Please take care

I remember Angel from when I was here before, I talked to her a few times, and she was very nice from what I knew from her.
I'm sorry to hear what has happened. My respects go out to her friends and family. May she rest in peace and watch over her loved ones from above.

I never check the forums, but I finally decided to and then I came across this, I know its a bit late now but I still had to post.
