Well done GHOST in your attempts to get some clarification on rules in tournaments...you are to be commended.. I can also say you dont look a fool to some of us, as we believe it wasnt you that gave out the bans.. it was in fact a very good tourney as all understood teaming was happening, and you didnt even have to hand out demerits as no-one was getting upset or annoyed.. so good luck to you...Mick

Well teaming may be allowed in tourny's, but i still agree with the banns and demerits.. when i first started playing tanx i use to see ppl complain about ppl teaming in ops all the time in lobby.. and when mods were there they would investigate in ops and do thier duty..i mean c'mon now even in last tourny own clan memebers were still killing eachother... now in this one.. everything changed..well ok.. lets examine this... 2 clan members in op.. 2 non clan members in op.. teamers kill non members while the non members have to worry about the teamers and the other person.. seems kinda lop sided and unfair. or lets say this!! 3 teamers in op jumping on 1?? is that fair?? teaming may not be against the rules in tourny but i think its still unfair in a 4 person op.. how far does it have to go to be called unsportsmanlike conduct?? so as far as the demerits and bann..

well seems i realy made a few players mad over the mix up in rules for the tourney . as for attempts to get clarification. I sent an email to fod also over the weekend. in reply i find that it seems there is no rule about teaming in the tourny. so teaming must ther for be ok.
BUT i agree with you commander this has never been allowed befor now to my understanding . but! i will abide by the decision made at fod.

I really don't think teaming in tourneys should be allowed. People deal with teaming enough in regular ops. I've never let FTW's team in tourneys, I myself have shot and been shot at by own clan members during tourneys. Russ has a point when he mentions it will end up 3v1 in touney ops. Not only is that lame, its unfair. I think if FOD is going to allow teaming in tourneys they should open it to a 6 player op instead of 4. Least whoever is getting teamed on has a slight chance. I personally think allowing teaming in tourneys will ruin them. :|
Wow - at last a proper debate. Russ and others are right - it is unfair to team ( and yes i did team ) and uag have done it for the 2 years i have been here.. To me it was a different kind of tourney, i enjoyed it, and we surely caused a WHOLE load of confusion :D but a clarification on the rules will sort it all out, i have no doubt - i guess this one was "a one off" back to normal for the next one.
Teaming has not been allowed in tourny's for the past 4 years. Ask the people who got demerits for it. Why this tourny is diffrent is the confusion with "unsporstmanlike behaviour". One person gets the "prize" for winning. Not the "team". ;)

Ghost Good job, the teaming problem is an ancient one, the mods cant watch every game being played ,and therefore any "illegal" teaming will often go undetected, and when it does happen it is often hard to prove, so Im in favour of teaming ,max 2 player teams. 3-1 should mean on the spot ban,
If you want something positive, I have an idea,but I dont know how easy it would be to implement, when a game is opened it is automaticly rated at 10 points above and below you current torny rating,that way it would be more equal, rather than the leader or leaders just jumping in an op to pick on a few newer players,and "bank" a few points, This of course would only apply to tournaments, not the normal games, If you think this idead is unworkable, please say so;)
well i have 1 question to ask.. for those of us that got a temp ban, will that still affect us for getting a badge and sub if we win a tourney? if so, thats unfair. as it wasnt our fault we were banned. also, my other nick got a demerit and i didnt even go on it, what's with that? :S

If you think about what I said it would mean that players with higher torny rating could only fight players with similar rating, surley thats much fairer than say, a uag with 75 points fighting a new player with 1 point, that way 'the best' can only play 'the next best'. as to nonsense, i think the biggest nonsense post ever has to be yours, I mean "meow",,,man grow up,:p
