How to play Chess?
Moving the pieces
The pieces can be moved by dragging them with the mouse on their initial square and dropping them
to their destination field. For special moves the same applies (see below).
Castling is indicated by moving
the king to its destination field, and the rook will be moved automatically.
To take en passant, move the capturing pawn onto the empty square behind the captured pawn.
If one of your pawns reaches
the last row, it is promoted into any of the higher-valued pieces
(except King). Just move your pawn as usual and you may select the piece
your pawn promotes to from the dialog box.
If your position is hopeless, you should resign the game. You don't need to enter a (final) move,
just click on the "Give up" button.
You may offer a draw to your opponent
by clicking on the 'Offer Draw' button. Draw offers cannot be withdrawn.
The latter may accept the proposal, which is always to be taken as unconditional,
or he may reject by completing a move.
A draw offer is valid until the opponent has accepted or rejected it.
